These Lumia images are pure abstraction made of sunlight that is bent, twisted, and made playful. There are no solid objects, or objects of any kind in these images. Each slide was made using a hand-held Nikon 35 mm camera.

Exelent thought provoking post!

I guess you know this but anyway:
"Among the more thoroughly researched, sensory features of hypnagogia are phosphenes which can manifest as seemingly random speckles, lines or geometrical patterns, including form constants, or as figurative (representational) images. They may be monochromatic or richly coloured, still or moving, flat or three-dimensional (offering an impression of perspective)."

Great description of the internal/external procedure you follow for developing your art; your insight/internal awareness amazes me, I was wondering if it was as developed as it is now when you started doing sculptures.

We normally think of seeing as the taking in of objective reality through our eyes. But is it? How much of what we think of as seeing really comes from without, and how much from within? The visual cortex may have a much more important role than we realise in creating expectations for what we are about to see, Pascual-Leone. says "Seeing is only possible when you know what you're going to see,"

I thought we can have an image in mind because we where or are able to see things and based on that vision system proyect graphics in our mind But it seems I was wrong. Also Deaf people do not have an internal representation of sound, neither of language as we concieve it. (Sacks book I hear a voice) nevertheless they have their own perfect model. This is related to our unability to consie tue unknown unknown's (Black Swan Book)

Please write more often, you help me inspirte, and forgive me If I said some nonsense.
